Youngest mayor in America loses re-election bid
5-year-old Bobby Tufts, known as America's youngest mayor, lost his re-election bid to a teenager.

DORSET, Minn. -- A 5-year-old boy who earned the distinction of being the youngest mayor in America has lost his re-election bid.

BobbyTufts was elected two years ago to be the honorary mayor of Dorset, Minnesota, but he failed to win a third-term.

He says being mayor was a tough job, but he'll miss the perks and the power.

"Well, I have to look at the cameras so much I can't be googly eyes. But nobody could arrest me, not even a cop," Tufts said.

He lost to 16-year-old Eric Mueller.

Tufts has a two-year-old brother who says he's ready to throw his hat into the race for mayor during next year's election.
