FRANKLIN, TN -- A woman's oyster dinner in Franklin, Tennessee, was interrupted by an unexpected surprise.
It happened this week at Puckett's Restaurant near Nashville.
The woman bit down on something and discovered it was a pearl.
Finding one pearl is common, but the woman found many more inside that oyster.
Restaurant server Eric Horton recalled, "She ended up pulling 50 pearls, out of this oyster. (I'm) one of the longer tenured people here, so having seen that, being a part of that is pretty cool."
Producing pearls is an oyster's way of protecting itself against foreign substances.
There's no word on the pearls' value or whether the woman has plans to sell them.
