OAKLAND, Calif. -- A shooting victim died after showing up at a local hospital Saturday night, according to Oakland police.
The shooting is thought to have occurred at an unknown location sometime prior to 10:15 p.m. Saturday.
A man was apparently shot by an unknown suspect or suspects armed with a firearm, according to police, and the suspect remains at large.
Someone transported the victim to a local hospital. He was subsequently transferred to another hospital out of the area, where he was pronounced dead at 10:33 p.m., according to police.
The victim's identity is not yet being released by the Alameda County coroner's bureau.
