SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- The first Hispanic Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court will speak at San Jose State Monday afternoon.

Sonia Sotomayor will have a sit-down conversation at the Student Union.

A San Jose State professor invited Sotomayor after realizing her life story mirrors that of some university students.

Sotomayor grew up poor, had juvenile diabetes and lost her father at an early age, but never gave up.
