Deputies investigate shooting on Hwy 4 near Pittsburg
Contra Costa County deputies are investigating after a shooting was reported on westbound Highway 4 near Bailey Road near Pittsburg.

BAY POINT, Calif. (KGO) -- Contra Costa County deputies are investigating after a shooting was reported on westbound Highway 4 and Bailey Road near Pittsburg.

The shooting occurred at around 9 p.m. and the truck involved pulled off the highway and then parked near the Tower Market gas station on Willow Pass Road in Bay Point. The back window of the truck was shattered by gunfire.

One person was injured after getting hit by broken glass and was treated.

There was no suspect description.

Highway 4 has been plagued with shootings over the past few months. Since November of last year, there have been six shootings on Highway 4. There have also been shootings on I-80, I-880, Highway 240 to I-580.

Law enforcement is investigating these shootings, but it has been hard for witnesses to identify to suspects because drivers are able to quickly speed off.
