KNOW AND TELL: British man runs around Tokyo dressed as Christmas tree

TOKYO (KGO) -- Officials said a British man who lives in Tokyo has been running around for hours at a time dressed up like a Christmas tree to break down barriers and make people smile.

He specifically visits neighborhoods that are not lit up.

It takes 99 batteries and almost 100 feet of wires to make this work.

He's also known to wear windmills on his head to cheer on marathon runners.
