GILROY, Calif. (KGO) -- Get your taste buds ready. McDonald's is giving a little love to Northern California garlic lovers. Four locations in the South Bay will test out 'Gilroy Garlic Fries.'

Even non-French fry fans are intrigued.
"I'm not a French fry eater, so I don't eat any fry in any place," said Dave Dubreuil, San Jose.
"But if they add garlic would you be interested?" asked ABC7's Matt Keller.
"Possibly, you bet -- see you talked me into going in to trying them, so I'll have to go in and try them," said Dubreuil.

The company says it's getting its garlic from Christopher Ranch in Gilroy. Other ingredients in the puree mix include olive oil, parmesan, salt and parsley flakes.
The garlic fries have been popular; 238 orders were taken at one location yesterday. A medium is $2.88 and a large order is $3.28.
Not everyone is "loving it." One unsatisfied customer told us the garlic fries were the "most disgusting food he's eaten in his life." But others think the new option will keep them coming back for more.
"I think they're going to be addicting, because they're already addicting. Fries, everybody loves fries. So, you add some garlic to it, there's going to be more people buying them," said Martin Lopez, San Jose resident.
McDonald's said if interest continues to be positive -- you'll be able to find the special fries at all 250 Bay Area restaurants by the end of the summer.
The four Bay Area locations are:
3509 Homestead Rd., Santa Clara, CA
2191 Monterey Rd., San Jose, CA
1398 W. San Carlos St., San Jose, CA
4838 San Felipe Rd., San Jose, CA
