10 displaced after fire destroys garage in San Jose

SAN JOSE (KGO) -- Firefighters have put out a fire on Nokomis Drive near Senter Road that displaced 10 people and three dogs.

The fire erupted at 5:15 a.m. in the garage. Investigators believe the fire was accidental and possibly electrical.

A firewall protects two housing units from the garage, which is a total loss.

The Red Cross is at the scene to assist the residents.
