24-hour fundraising blitz for more than 1,500 Bay Area charities

Tuesday is a major 24-hour fundraising blitz for more than 1,500 charities across the Bay Area. It's East Bay Gives and Silicon Valley Gives.

It's a 24-hour effort to raise money for nonprofits in the South Bay, the Peninsula, the East Bay and San Francisco.

Volunteers and nonprofit employees will be at several locations throughout the day. Donations are also being accepted online until 11:59 p.m.
