SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- ABC7 News has learned that a 20-year-old gang member has been arrested for shooting at two San Jose police officers Sunday night.
Police took Louis Soriano, a parolee, into custody in connection with the incident near Luby and Ripley drives.
The two officers were not hurt.
The police union had offered a $10,000 reward in the shooting they call an "assassination attempt."
The officers were walking toward a group of men near Luby and Ripley drives Sunday when one of them opened fire.
Garcia said the shooting will not deter his officers from keeping a high profile in the neighborhood where gangs are trying to take over.
