SAN FRANCISCO -- All Southbound and two Northbound lanes of 101 were closed Wednesday evening due to an accident involving a tow truck slamming into the center divider near Cesar Chavez in San Francisco.

Two lanes reopened around 10 p.m., allowing for traffic to move through. The remainder of the lanes were repened around 11 p.m.

Several other cars were hit and the driver of the tow truck suffered major injuries. Debris from the crash spilled onto the Northbound lanes, prompting their closure.
