SAN FRANCISCO -- A 34-year-old man was killed after being repeatedly stabbed in San Francisco's Outer Sunset neighborhood early Friday morning, according to police.
The incident was reported around 4:05 a.m. in the 1600 block of 45th Avenue, when police were dispatched to investigate reports of a person lying on the ground and bleeding, according to San Francisco police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan.
Officers found the victim face down on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds to the upper torso and rendered aid. Medics were called to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:22 a.m.
Police canvassed the area and tried to contact neighbors, but no suspect information is currently available and the case remains under investigation, according to Gatpandan.
