MARTINEZ, Calif. (KGO) -- A car crash that resulted in a hazmat scare triggered a shelter-in-place in Martinez after some chemicals spilled on the road. Hazmat crews were there near Pacheco Boulevard and Veale Avenue working on a clean-up.
The accident happened around 9 a.m. and evolved in the hazmat incident. A truck that works for a pool cleaning service dumped chemicals on the road. There was a shelter-in-place as a small chlorine cloud was released.
There were two minor injuries involving the crash, but not related to the hazmat.
