SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The California Highway Patrol has reopened two lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 101 in Santa Clara following a fatal accident this morning.
The accident involving a motorcycle on northbound Highway 101 just south of Lawrence Expressway was reported around 2:40 a.m., the CHP said.
The motorcyclist was killed in the accident, according to the CHP.
A Sig-alert was issued at 2:40 a.m. and the lanes reopened shortly before 5 a.m., the CHP said.
No further details were immediately available.
