Lockdown lifted at Silverwood Elementary in Concord

CONCORD, Calif. (KGO) -- A lockdown has been lifted at Silverwood Elementary School in Concord after police found a suspected car thief near the campus.

Police with K9s and guns drawn searched the campus on Claycord Avenue. Officers were looking for a suspected car thief who ran through campus trying to get away from police. They found the man hiding in a nearby backyard and took the school off lockdown.
