New video shows suspect in deadly West Oakland BART shooting
BART police have released this raw surveillance video from January 9, 2016 that they say shows a suspect in a deadly shooting on a train at the West Oakland station.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- BART police have released new surveillance video that shows a man suspected in a fatal shooting on a train in January in the hopes that someone will recognized him.



On Saturday, January 9, 2016, police say 19-year-old Carlos Romero died after being shot several times on a train stopped at the West Oakland station.

In a statement on Wednesday, police said they're following up on leads but hope that releasing video that shows how the suspect walks and maneuvers will help identify him.



The suspect is described as being 6 feet to 6 feet 4 inches tall with a bald, shaved, or close-cut hairstyle and a slim build. At the time of the shooting, he was wearing a green hooded jacket with beige construction-style boots.

BART is offering a reward of up to $10,000.00 through Oakland Crime Stoppers for any information that may help lead to an arrest.
