San Leandro police ID man, woman accused of trying to shoot baby
San Leandro police say it's a miracle a baby wasn't hit during a targeted shooting at a McDonald's by the child's father and a woman.

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. -- San Leandro police said Thursday they arrested two suspects allegedly responsible for a shooting that attempted to kill an 11-month-old boy in a McDonald's restaurant on Monday.

No one was struck in the shooting, which occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the McDonald's at the downtown San Leandro Plaza at 1287 Washington Ave.

The suspect's have been identified as Antioch residents Marcel Brooks and Adanna Ibe.

Brooks is the father of the baby and he also has a 5-year-old child with Ibe.

After further investigation, police are certain that the intended target was the baby.

"In my opinion, it's a miracle that she was missed," San Leandro Police Department Lt. Isaac Benabou said.
