5 Bay Area high schools rank in Newsweek's top 100

Newsweek magazine just released its list of the top high schools in America by evaluating how well they prepare students for college, and how they overcome obstacles posed by socioeconomic inequality.

Five Bay Area schools made the top 100:

25th place: Piedmont High

38th place: Lynbrook high in San Jose

40th place: Monta Vista High in Cupertino

87th place: Redwood High in Larkspur

Aragon High in San Mateo rounded out the top 100.
