Santa Rosa wrecking company removes destroyed cars for free
Cream's Auto Wrecking of Santa Rosa is working to help remove destroyed cars from the North Bay fire zones for free.

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KGO) -- There are still many derelict automobiles left behind in the burn zone neighborhoods in the North Bay.

The next stop for the cars is Cream's Auto Wrecking of Santa Rosa. They've signed an agreement to take them all, at no cost to homeowners.

In return, they get to sell the twisted, rusted, scrap metal, which seems like a good deal.

FEMA would not allow Cream's to speak with ABC7 News on camera, but an employee did let our cameras in for a few minutes to see where the thousands of cars will stack, awaiting crushing.

Cream's says the process will take months.
