SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- There's nothing more linked to baseball than peanuts and Cracker Jack, but for kids with peanut allergies that can be a harmful combination.
Wednesday, the San Francisco Giants, reserved a section of AT&T Park as a peanut free zone. The area was washed down and fans were warned they could not take peanut products into section 336.
This allowed fans with peanut allergies to finally attend a ballgame.
Families that have a member with peanut allergies were allowed to use a special entrance to avoid contact with peanut residue.
This is the second peanut allergy friendly day the Giants have hosted this season.
