Passengers help man propose to girlfriend at airport
A South African man enlisted the help of other passengers on his flight to propose to his girlfriend when she met him at the airport.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KGO) -- A South African man enlisted the help of other passengers on his flight to propose to his girlfriend when she met him at the airport.

One by one, the passengers exited the plane at Kansas City International Airport with a flower in hand.

They offered the flowers to the girlfriend, who was not quite sure what was going on.

But when her boyfriend finally exited he gave her a kiss and a hug, then got on one knee and proposed.

"I've been planning this since like Jan.," said George Erasmus. "So it's been a long wait. It's hard to keep secrets. So I was excited."

Ashley Kracht added, "I'm overwhelmed. I'm shaking. I did not expect this at all."

In case you're wondering, Ashley said yes.

The couple met three years ago when she was working as a missionary in South Africa.
