Feinstein town hall met with protesters over time, access
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., held a late morning town hall meeting at the San Francisco Scottish Rite Masonic Center on Monday.
The event comes after a barrage of demands in recent months for Feinstetin to hold larger town hall style meetings, like many of her peers in congress.

"I will commit to doing one on the weekend during the summer," said Feinstein , which was met with loud applause.
Protesters outside the event called for more access to the senator, as well as call to save Medicare.
Inside, the audience was comprised largely of activists from the group Indivisible. They held up colored signs, to agree, disagree or encourage the senator to take action on the issues attendees want addressed.

When asked if she's running for re-election in 2018, she responded with, "Oh, we're doing things. You'll know soon enough."
Feinstein has held campaign fundraisers recently, but hasn't made a formal announcement to say she is seeking re-election next year. She turns 84 in June, and is the oldest currently serving U.S. senator.
A group held a news conference before the town hall, urging Feinstein to retire.
Senator Feinstein will hold her second town hall meeting in Los Angeles on Thursday. On Friday, she'll be back in the Bay Area for a paid-lunch event with Silicon Valley business leaders.
