Steph Curry's daughter Riley steals the spotlight
OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- The Warriors are preparing for Thursday's Game 2 of the Western Conference finals. They came from behind to beat the Rockets 110 to 106 at Oracle Arena Tuesday night.
But despite MVP Stephen Curry's 34 points, the real star of the post-game was his 2-year-old daughter, Riley.
Curry brought his daughter to the podium with him. Just like her dad, she scored points right away, but with her charm and playful personality.
While a room of reporters listened closely to the Warriors point guard talk about the team's win over the Rockets, Riley didn't want to hear it.
She told her dad to be quiet and get to work.
"Get to work, Daddy," Riley ordered during Curry's interview.
Maybe it was because she wanted to steal the spotlight for a while.
The adorable toddler sat on her dad's lap, wearing a huge bow.
She upstaged her old man, laughed at his answers, waved to the crowd and made not-so-subtle hints it was past her bedtime.
Eventually, Curry put her down so he could answer questions without interruption. But Riley didn't go far.
She playfully peeked at reporters from under the tablecloth.
Curry may be the MVP of the NBA, scoring a game high 34 points to lead the Dubs to victory, but to Riley he's just dad.
Curry said, "She is just like this. She's only 2. It's the craziest thing ever."
The family is expecting their second child in July.
Not everyone was delighted with Riley's appearance. A few found it a bit distracting and one reported tweeted that kids don't belong at press conferences.
The tweet was later deleted.
