SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A man wanted in connection to shootings in Gilroy and Morgan Hill was shot and killed by police in San Jose Thursday morning as officers tried to serve a warrant in the area of La Pala Drive and McKee Road, a police spokesperson confirmed to ABC7.
Sgt. Christian Camarillo said the man was shot by more than one San Jose officer as they attempted to serve a warrant on the man.
The investigation is considered "multi-jurisdictional."
Near La Pala Drive at McKee Road, neighbor Tina Faleasa spent much of the day stuck behind a police line, unable to return home to an apartment complex transformed into a crime scene.
"Yeah, I'm scared. I have been in that apartment for six years. This is my first experience," she said.
This was San Jose's first police shooting this year.
There were four in 2020.

"The person involved here was a person of interest in a homicide. A person of interest in multiple shootings in Gilroy and Morgan Hill as well as being wanted in our city for weapons violations as well," said Sgt. Christian Camarillo with San Jose police.
Police say a homicide in Gilroy led them to track the suspect to the San Jose apartment courtyard about 10 a.m. Several officers opened fire after what police describe as a confrontation.
"He committed numerous violations for serious felonies in various jurisdictions in out county. Obviously we are dealing with a very dangerous individual here, today," Camarillo said.
Faleasa says she knew the suspect by site and that he used to lock children outside his apartment and walk around the complex with a knife.
She says this place will never be the same for her.
"I have two kids and it is not safe," she sai
