Investigation underway into Santa Clara officer-involved shooting after parents called 911
Police are investigating why a veteran Santa Clara officer shot and killed a South Bay man after his parents called 911. They say he was acting erratically outside an apartment complex near Deborah and Pasetta drives.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KGO) -- Police investigating why veteran Santa Clara officer shot and killed teen after parents called 911 due to erratic behavior.

Police say the man lunged at the officer, and they believed he was armed. They say officers had visited the home several times before.
