SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The family of a missing San Francisco tech worker met with police detectives for the first time Monday at the San Francisco Police Department hoping to find him.

Dan Ha was last seen on Halloween leaving his apartment in the South of Market area.

Police and family members are asking the public for help with video footage from the SoMa area between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. They're particularly interested in the 4th and Brannan streets area of the city.

Ha's younger brothers approached businesses in the area asking to review surveillance video. They hope to gain access to more films over the next few days and would like to get more cooperation from nearby banks, the apartment building where he lives and other businesses nearby.

His parents drove 17 hours from British Columbia and his brothers flew in from the East Coast to join the search.

They told ABC7 News it's out of character for him to just disappear.

Ha spoke with his father the day before Halloween. He said he had a migraine and asked his dad to pray for him.

The next day, Ha called in sick from his job as an IOS developer at a startup called Metromile in SoMa.

Ha's friends in tech created a Find Dan Ha Facebook page and website.

They're raising money for searches and started this page hoping for leads.

There is a $500 reward for information leading to finding Ha.

Anyone with information should call police.
