San Francisco plans to resume cable car services soon
Muni is scheduled to give an update during its board meeting Tuesday about the resumption of cable car services in San Francisco.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco's iconic cable cars will be moving again soon.

Muni is scheduled to give an update during its board meeting Tuesday.

ABC7 News has learned the Powell-Hyde route will be the first to resume service sometime this fall.

Cars will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The system needs detailed maintenance before cars can go back into service.
