SALT LAKE CITY (KGO) -- Veterans are getting help from a special furry friend.

Meet Charlie, a 1-year-old therapy kangaroo.

He's growing up with the love and support of our American heroes at a veteran's home in Salt Lake City.

They can hold him and love him and feed him a bottle.

Veterans say Charlie brightens up their home and is a true friend.
