Soldier photobombs son in heartwarming homecoming

DURHAM, N.C. -- A boy's school photo will always remind him of the day his father, a soldier deployed overseas, gave him the surprise of his life.

The third-grader's dad, Corporal James Bass, had been deployed for months in Kuwait. Bass showed up Friday to surprise his 8-year-old son Joshua on picture day.

When Joshua stepped in front of the camera at Pearsontown Magnet Elementary in Durham, he was photobombed by his dad!

Bass is home on leave after being deployed for a year.
