Granny basketball league helps members stay social, active

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (KGO) -- Basketball is upon us and a special team in La Crosse, Wisconsin is gearing up for a great season.

The "Granny Basketball Team" gets together every Monday night-- with league play starting in January.

They incorporate many rules from the past and a whole lot of smiles.

The league creates new friendships and even brings together old ones sometimes even teammates who went to the state tournament together in high school.
