STOCKTON, Calif. (KGO) -- A large fire in downtown Stockton has prompted evacuations Thursday.
Our sister station KCRA reports that the pallets ignited around 5:15 p.m at 2325 E. Weber Avenue, near B Street, the Stockton Fire Department said.
Officials say the flames are threatening nearby structures, vehicles, and homes.
The fire is producing a large, dark gray plume of smoke, which can be seen for miles.
