SUNNYVALE, Calif. (KGO) -- Parts of Sunnyvale will be fogged this week in an effort to fight the spread of the West Nile virus.

Officials say that mosquitos in the area have tested positive for West Nile.

The fog hangs low to the ground, targeting the insects near standing water where they lay eggs.

Fogging in parts of Sunnyvale and San Jose began on May 22. That's the earliest the county has had to fog for mosquitos.
