Heart plays free concert in Santa Clara as part of Super Bowl festivities
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KGO) -- Fans have already arrived in San Francisco where Super Bowl City is packed.
Saturday night Chris Isaak rocked the fan village. On Sunday, fans enjoyed jazz and gospel music. But the bigger party was is in Santa Clara where fans in the South Bay are kicking off their week-long Super Bowl party.
Since most of the pre-game festivities are hosted at Super Bowl City in San Francisco a free concert is a special treat for Santa Clara residents.

Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, the frontwomen of Heart, braved a cold and windy afternoon for the special event, held just blocks away from Levi's Stadium.
Santa Clara residents were able to get two free tickets by logging onto the city's website. This is a much smaller event than the massive Super Bowl City that's built in San Francisco's Embarcadero and Financial District.
Some people said they're excited to have the Super Bowl in their own back yard, but they wish they could afford tickets to actually go to the game next Sunday.

One South Bay resident told ABC7 News he's going to the game and didn't have to pay for a ticket.
"I didn't have to. I'm going to work the game, and see it too," said San Jose resident Ronald Johnson.
"I'm going to walk to the stadium from where I live. And I can't wait. I don't have tickets, but I'm going over there to just enjoy time with me and my family as well," said Santa Clara resident Hang Lee.

This is one of several musical events that's part of the run up to Super Bowl 50, but most public events will be in San Francisco at Super Bowl City.
In the South Bay, there will be a few events through the week beginning with media day on Monday, now that players from the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers have arrived in the Bay Area.
A spectacular fireworks show will concluded Sunday's event.
