Swastikas, racial slurs painted on Antioch home

ANTIOCH, Calif. (KGO) -- A homeowner is speaking out after swastikas and racial slurs were spray-painted outside of her home in Antioch. Now, police are investigating who may be behind this apparent hate crime.

It's not just the hateful vandalism outside, Molotov cocktails sparked a fire at the home early this morning.

The homeowner has an idea of who could have done this, saying her son and his girlfriend had their cars vandalized a couple days ago. She is thinking this could be related. She doesn't want to speculate as to why.

One of her son's painted over the vandalized home. The woman who lives here along with adult children and grandchildren woke up around 3:15 to fire on the roof and their bushes. They used extinguishers to get the fire out and then saw the spray painted swastikas and the n word on the home. The homeowner is angry this happened.

"I felt I need to find out who this person is so I can bring them to justice. Because I haven't bothered anybody I didn't deserve this, like I said just me my son and grandson live here on a regular basis and we don't harm anybody I am surprised this has come to my house," said Roshon Williams, Antioch homewoner.

Investigators are here now and are taking this very seriously saying it could even be attempted homicide because the attacker tossed Molotov cocktails at the home's garage and door, blocking escape routes. The homeowner has surveillance cameras and she says on the video you get a pretty good look at the guy who did this and says you can see him lighting three bottles on fire and throwing them. Investigators are looking at the video now and deciding whether to release it to the media.

As of now, no arrests have been made. The chief of police says they are appalled and disgusted.
