Tesla delivering first of new Model 3's to customers

FREMONT, Calif. (KGO) -- Tesla will deliver the first of its new Model 3 to 30 customers Friday night.

Recently captured shows a truck carrying brand new model 3's near Tesla's Fremont plant.

A brand new Model 3 costs $35,000, or about half the price of other Tesla models.

If you pre-ordered one now, Tesla says you would probably have it by the middle of next year.

Tesla hasn't said how many customers have reserved the compact Model 3.
