Uber now offering free ice cream on Friday's in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Uber is launching a new campaign called Free Cone Friday in San Francisco.

It works a lot like a lottery, all you have to do is open the Uber app and tap to request ice cream.

If you're selected Uber will send ice cream to you and up to four friends.

If you're not selected, Uber says just keep trying.

Uber will also be giving away limited edition collectible cones, which you can take to McDonald's every Friday for free ice-cream refills.

The offer is good through September 22nd.
