Officer holds hand of Visalia woman in need

VISALIA, Calif. -- A single photo has captured the attention of thousands of people online.

This picture shows a police officer in Visalia, California holding the hand of a woman walking into the hospital.

The Visalia Police Department posted the picture on their Facebook page and it was liked by thousands of people.

The police department then said the woman was nervous about going in for voluntary treatment. The officers asked what they could do to help and she said, "one of you will have to hold my hand."

Officer Leon Leonard offered his hand and the rest is now social media lore.
