AccuWeather Forecast: Cooling trend, chance of light rain this weekend
ABC7 News weather anchor Spencer Christian has your AccuWeather forecast for Thursday.

Takeaway of the Day

Our weather is gradually beginning to feel more fall-like. Today begins with patchy fog and pockets of morning drizzle.

Skies will become sunnier and brighter by late morning/midday away from the coast and bay; and afternoon high temperatures will be only slightly above average for mid-October: Lower 60s at the coast, lower to mid-70s near the bay, and lower to mid-80s inland.

The Look Ahead

As the weekend approaches, we can expect increasing clouds, a continuing cooling trend, and a chance of showers or light rain.

The best chance of showers is in the North Bay, during the overnight hours from Friday into Saturday, and continuing through Saturday afternoon. Rainfall totals will amount to only a few hundredths of an inch.

Saturday will also be pleasantly cool, with highs ranging from lower 60s at the coast to lower 70s near the bay to upper 70s inland. Drier and slightly milder days will follow into early next week.
