Takeaway of the Day
Today was the penultimate mild, dry day in the current forecast period. This afternoon's high temperatures were near 70 degrees in numerous locations near the bay and inland, and we can expect very similar conditions tomorrow -- before the storm door opens.
The Look Ahead
Clouds will increase late tomorrow, followed by spotty light showers tomorrow night. Just after midnight Tuesday into early Wednesday morning, a Level 2 storm on the exclusive ABC7 Storm Impact Scale will surge into the Bay Area, bringing heavy downpours, gusty winds, and rough surf. This will be only the beginning of a wet weather pattern that will continue into next weekend. This stormy pattern will also produce heavy snow and gusty winds in the Sierra.
