Takeaway of the Day
The month of November begins with a bright morning sky, but clouds will increase as a cold front approaches, and light rain or drizzle will move into the North Bay this afternoon. During the evening commute, rain will spread across the Bay Area, and it will become briefly moderate to heavy--especially during the nighttime hours.
The rain will begin tapering off early Saturday morning, and will likely end by midday. Rainfall totals will range generally from two-tenths to six-tenths of an inch.

The Look Ahead
Sunday will bring warmer, drier, and windy weather--which will increase fire danger. The gusty winds will taper off going into early next week, but our overall pattern will remain sunny and dry with above average temperatures. In fact, sunny days with springlike warmth will continue through most of next week--which means November gets off to an unseasonably warm start.
