Takeaway of the Day
Winter starts tomorrow morning and a Level 1 system is coming in with scattered showers. It's also bringing rough surf. A High Surf Advisory goes up from 6 a.m. tomorrow to 4 p.m. Sunday as large breaking waves will reach 15 to 18 feet, possibly higher bringing a risk of sneaker waves and rip currents. Some showers will start in the morning on Sunday and then a huge break follows until the evening when moderate rain moves in and spreads.
The Look Ahead
A series of storms will impact us next week. They will be stronger with downpours at times and gusty winds. Higher rainfall totals are expected. The Christmas Eve storm will be a Level 2. Christmas is dry but, cool and cloudy. More wet weather arrives on Thursday and Friday.
