Takeaway of the Day
This wet and dreary day is winding down late this afternoon with pockets of very light rain and isolated showers. As the rain ends, though, roadways will remain wet and slippery during the evening commute - so motorists should be cautious and avoid exceeding speed limits.
Later tonight and overnight, we will see partial clearing.

The Look Ahead
The next three days will bring us mostly sunny and dry weather. High temperatures will be slightly above average, and this pattern will turn even milder as the weekend approaches.
However, even as temperatures rise a few degrees above average, we can expect increasing clouds on Friday, followed by a rainy pattern on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
The weather system bringing the weekend rain will likely rank only Level 1 on the exclusive ABC7 Storm Impact Scale, but current indicators point to wet weather during that three-day period. By the way, Saturday marks the beginning of winter.
