AccuWeather Forecast: Red Flag Warning goes into effect with gusty afternoon for Election Day

A RED FLAG WARNING begins today at 11 a.m. and lasts until 7 a.m. Thursday with an elevated fire threat.
There is also a WIND ADVISORY from 4 p.m. today until 3 p.m. Wednesday for the North Bay Interior Mountains.
North winds will be 30-40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Gusts could get up to 70 mph above 2,500 feet.
Today winds start out calm but later tonight into Wednesday morning will be the windiest.
Dangerously low relative humidity will result in the teens and fires that start could spread rapidly.
Sunny skies will prevail with some high clouds today. Above average high temperatures continue in the mid and upper 70s away from the coastline.
The Look Ahead
Onshore winds return late in the week with slow relative humidity recoveries.
Afternoon highs won't cool until late in the weekend and early next week. Highs will return to the 60s with morning low clouds for the second half of the upcoming weekend.
Rain and a level 1 system arrive next Monday.
