AccuWeather Forecast: Calmer winds overnight
ABC7 News weather anchor Spencer Christian has your AccuWeather forecast for Wednesday.

Takeaway of the Day

Today has been windy, gusty, and cooler than average. Gusts have exceeded 45 miles per hour at times, and the National Weather Service has issued a "Strong Wind Potential" statement, but no advisories or warnings. Nonetheless, there is the potential for downed tree limbs, difficult driving conditions, and wind-blown objects and debris. Going into the early evening hours, the strongest wind gusts will range from 25 to 35 miles per hour, but the late night and overnight hours will bring much calmer winds--generally below 20 miles per hour.

The Look Ahead

Tomorrow and Friday will bring mainly sunny skies and a modest warmup, with Friday's highs ranging from mid-60s at the coast to near 80 degrees around the bay to near 90 degrees inland. This warmup will be short-lived, however, as a sharply cooler pattern begins on Saturday and continues into next week.
