* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...All of Marin, Sonoma, and Napa Counties. * WHEN...Until 315 AM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 723 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 3 and 12 inches of rain have fallen. - Green Valley Road near Sebastopol, Trenton Healdsburg Road near Forestville, and Mark West Station Road near Windsor are the most likely place to experience minor flooding and are closed due to water over the roadway. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 7 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Light to moderate rain is continuing across the watch area. Two to four inches of rain have already fallen in the valley regions with up to six inches of rain in the higher elevations. Breaking waves of 10 to 13 ft are expected with some potential for breaking waves up to 15 ft to develop. * WHERE...Northern Monterey Bay County. * WHEN...Through late Thursday night. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions. Large waves can sweep across the beach without warning, pulling people into the sea from rocks, jetties, and beaches. Sudden immersion in cold water can result in cold water shock even for the most experienced swimmers. Cold water shock can result in dramatic changes in breathing, heart rate and blood pressure, greatly increasing the risk of drowning in rough open waters.More
