City offers $250K to help solve murder

The San Francisco Mayor's Office has set aside some "incentive money" for people who can help solve some murder cases, up to quarter of a million dollars.

Mayor Gavin Newsom says the city is focusing on 16 unsolved murder cases. No one came forward for the previous rewards of $100,000. Now, the hope is that $250,000 a piece will convince a few key witnesses to come forward.

The cases are very close to being solved, but police say they still need the testimony and evidence to back up the convictions.
