A few people gathered at the UN Plaza in San Francisco. It is a very small presentation, with about 50 people. There are more San Francisco Police Officers than there are protestors.
Two people laid on the ground similar to how Oscar Grant was on New Year's Day. Others brought posters and t-shirts, but nothing was really organized, as there were no marches, no chanters and no violence.
"I came here to pay my respects to the family and to vent out my anger against the perpetrators," said San Francisco protester Andrew Maker.
"Are you disappointed that there aren't that many people out here?" asked ABC7's Lyanne Melendez.
"That's okay, we are here," said Maker.
San Francisco police officers were ready because they wanted to avoid a repeat of what happened last Wednesday in Oakland when there were riots and a lot of businesses were vandalized.
In fact in the Civic Center area, some businesses decided to let their employees leave early.
The demonstration is very small, and one police officer even said that nothing is happening.
