Up for discussion is a 600-megawatt, natural gas-fired power plant proposed for the corner of Depot Road and Cabot Boulevard.
Air District staff is proposing a permit that would require sophisticated air pollution control equipment be installed in the plant. This is one of two major environmental permits required for the project, which is known as the Russell City Energy Center.
