San Francisco doctor creates rescue reel

The rescue reel allows regular people to quickly rappel down the side of a tall building, if a disaster strikes.

The Vallejo Fire Department has tested it out and provided ABC7 with company video of it.

Dr. Kevin Stone came up with the idea after watching people jump to their deaths from the World Trade Center, on 9/11.

The first rescue reels are going to start being sold in the fall.

They aren't cheap, however, costing $1,500 each.
