Firefighters found two cats unconscious in an apartment on Jackson Street near Powell.

The owner was forced from the home by a kitchen fire and couldn't get back in to get her pets. The paramedics brought them out after firefighters put out the fire. They used respirators to help the two cats regain consciousness. Both are expected to be OK.
